As we all send our kids back to school, please remember to teach them kindness. Making fun of someone’s clothes, shoes, backpack, phone (or lack thereof), etc… is wrong. Don’t make that other student hate school and their parents because they don’t have what your kids have. It’s totally free to be kind.
Teach your kids to spread kindness and love abundantly. Sacrificially show someone who’s having a bad day that you are there for them. Create a safe space for someone who may not otherwise have one.
There is far too much suffering in this world. Stop your kids from creating more. And, yes, parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, stepmoms and stepdads, sisters and brothers — it all starts with YOU!
